Spam Shield – Call Blocker · Last updated: March 2026

Overview

Spam Shield is a call blocking application for Android. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it's used, and your rights.

Data Collection

Spam Shield does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.

All data created by the App (blocking rules, blocked call logs, and settings) is stored exclusively on your device using a local SQLite database. No data is ever sent to external servers, cloud services, or third parties.

What Data Is Stored Locally

The App stores the following information only on your device:

  • Blocking rules you create (phone number patterns and labels)
  • Blocked call records (phone numbers that matched your rules, with timestamps)
  • App preferences (screening enabled status)

Permissions

The App requests the following Android permissions:

  • CallScreeningService: Required to intercept and screen incoming calls. This is the core functionality of the App. The App only uses this permission to check incoming call numbers against your blocking rules.

Third-Party Services

The App does not use any third-party services, including:

  • No analytics or crash reporting
  • No advertising networks
  • No social media integrations
  • No cloud storage or sync services

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with anyone. Since no data leaves your device, there is nothing to share.

Data Retention

All data remains on your device until you:

  • Delete individual rules or blocked call records within the App
  • Use the "Clear All Data" option in Settings
  • Uninstall the App

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The App does not collect information from anyone.
