I have been shipping production backend systems since 2023, currently as a Senior Software Engineer at BIK, a Y Combinator S20 B2B SaaS company — I joined as a Software Engineer in July 2024 and was promoted in April 2026. Before that I was a Software Engineer at CodeMarks, starting there as a full-stack machine learning engineer. My work sits at the seam where infrastructure meets revenue: if a system moves millions of events a month, someone has to make sure every one of them is attributable, durable, and fast — that has mostly been my job.

What I actually build

Real-time communication infrastructure

At BIK I designed and shipped real-time WhatsApp calling infrastructure on top of Meta's APIs — persistent permission management, low-latency call controls (mute, hold, callback), and session-resilient state synchronisation so a dropped socket does not mean a dropped conversation. This is a genuinely under-documented corner of the Meta platform, which is part of why I write about it.

Event analytics and revenue attribution

I architected end-to-end analytics pipelines capturing millions of agent-customer interaction events across helpdesk and calling systems, landing them in PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch. The point was never the dashboards — it was precise revenue attribution, which moved tracked conversions by 15%+.

AI instrumentation

I designed AI instrumentation infrastructure across helpdesk workflows, capturing fine-grained usage telemetry that drove 20% faster issue resolution and 12% higher AI feature adoption. Instrumenting an AI feature properly is most of the work of making it good.

Secure data pipelines

Email ingestion and delivery pipelines with strict ACL enforcement, alias handling, and ticket deduplication — the kind of system where the failure mode is a customer seeing another customer's data, so the isolation guarantees have to be real rather than aspirational.
